In the hair world, the word premium gets used a lot.
Premium hair. Premium quality. Premium sourcing.
And if you’ve been around long enough—whether you’re a stylist or just someone who wears extensions—you’ve probably realized something:
Not all “premium” hair is created the same.
You can feel it almost immediately. The weight. The softness. The way it moves. Some hair just holds up differently.
That difference isn’t marketing.
It’s everything that happens before the hair ever gets to you.
At Extensions Plus, we’ve spent decades refining that process. And when we say our hair is premium, we mean it.
As Helene Stahl, the founder of Extensions Plus, often says:
“Our hair is premium for a reason.”
And that reason begins long before the hair ever becomes an extension.
It starts with the hair itself
Before anything else, we focus on sourcing.
We don’t settle for what’s easiest to get—we go looking for the healthiest, strongest, most beautiful Remi hair we can find anywhere in the world.
And yes, that takes more time. And yes, it costs more.
But the truth is, if you don’t start with exceptional raw hair, there’s only so much you can do later. You can process it, coat it, try to make it look better—but it won’t be better.
That’s why we don’t cut corners here.
“We source the best product on the planet regardless of the cost.” – Helene
Because everything else depends on it.

We don't outsource the process
This is one of the biggest differences about us—and something most people don’t realize.
We’re not just a brand putting our label on someone else’s product.
We are the manufacturer.
That means we process our own hair from start to finish. Washing, sorting, coloring, wefting, ventilating—it all happens under our direction, with our standards.
We’re not hoping a third-party factory gets it right.
We make sure it’s done right.
And that level of control is a big part of why our hair is so consistent.
The people behind the hair truly matter
Hair like this doesn’t come from a quick process.
It comes from people who have spent years—honestly, decades—learning how to work with it.
A lot of our team has been with us for 25 to 38 years (that's since we were founded!). They’ve handled thousands of bundles. They understand how hair reacts, how to protect it, and how to bring out the best in it without damaging it.
Every step your hair goes through is done by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.
It’s not mass production.
It’s true craftsmanship.
We trust professionals with the details
Color is one of the easiest ways to damage hair if it’s not done right.
That’s why our colorists aren’t just trained—they’re licensed cosmetologists.
They understand hair the same way your stylist does. They know how to create beautiful, dimensional color while keeping the integrity of the hair intact.
So when you get EP hair, you’re not just getting a pretty shade—you’re getting hair that’s been processed with real care.
Our curly hair is, well, actually curly!
This is another one that surprises people.
A lot of “curly” extension hair on the market isn’t naturally curly—it’s permed to create that texture.
We don’t do that.
Our curly hair is naturally curly, and before we even turn it into a finished product, we carefully match the curl patterns so everything stays consistent.
Don't get us wrong, we do have permed products for those that want a more controlled and predictable curl pattern. But if it has been permed, it is ALWAYS disclosed. All of our naturally curly hair is authentic, not artificial.
That’s why it looks more natural. And why it holds up better over time.
Decades in the making
Extensions Plus didn’t get here overnight.
Helene has been in this industry since 1971, and she’s spent nearly 40 years building this company with one core belief:
Never compromise on quality.
That standard has shaped everything we do—from the way we source hair to the people we hire to the way we process every single strand.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about how the hair looks when you first install it.
It’s about how it wears.
How it lasts.
How it earns your trust over time.
And that’s what we care about most.
